Did you ever wonder what it would be like to keep bees?
What of the idea of being able to harvest honey right in your own backyard or neighborhood garden.
Or what about doing the right thing and helping to pollinate fruit and vegetable plants which provide food for your city.
Our Beekeeping for Certification class includes lecture-style classes that covers the basics of beekeeping and hopes to answer many of your questions. Labs are also included, so you can get hands-on beekeeping experience. This class will give you the experience and knowledge necessary for beekeeping.
The Beekeeping for Certification class will be be Wednesdays April 5 to May 10, between 6:30 and 9 p.m. at the University of Wisconsin Extension Office, 9501 West Watertown Plank Road, Building A. Further classes and labs through October will be scheduled at a later date. The cost of the class is $165 per person or $250 for two people who wish to share a binder.
