The Milwaukee County Cooperative Extension 4-H and Community Youth Development programs offer learning opportunities for youth to gain skills, increase their knowledge, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”
Using a hands-on model, youth explore life skills while participating in practical learning experiences. Youth development activities include 4-H clubs, STEM investigations, civic engagement, environmental studies, entrepreneurship, the arts, multicultural awareness, and pre-college programs.
Our goal is to teach, train and share our research-based curriculum with teachers and volunteers and to form community partnerships with schools, youth-serving agencies, churches, and community groups. The focus is to build strong character and future leaders throughout the Greater Milwaukee Community.
Extension Milwaukee County has a revenue generation requirement in our annual county budget. We meet part of this requirement through fee for service programs. We can customize research-based programs based on your needs. Our current rate for customized developing and implementing programs is $75/hour per educator.
